Established in 1995, the small studio made a quick spin in growth with enrollment tripling within the first two years. Its current 5,000-square-foot state-of-the-art dance facility on International Parkway, just southwest of the Wabash Avenue exit off of I-72 was built in 2003. It hosts four studios, two dressing rooms, two bathrooms and two waiting areas, with plenty of space for dancers of all ages and skill levels.

Ronda Brinkman has been the director of Springfield Dance since its founding. In teaching all this time, she has trained many dancers who have gone on to have professional careers and many more who have gained a lifelong love of dance as an art form. Springfield Dance guides each family to help navigate the dance path that best suits the child.

The studio offers many opportunities for boys and girls to learn and perform, starting at 18 months and on through teens and adults. It finds ways to give children the options of performing in a non-competitive, rewarding experience that students and their families enjoy together. Opportunities to perform are available with Springfield Dance Theatre, its in-house performance company, as well as during a seasonal recital held for classes.
