MEN’S CLOTHING STORE

The Crafted Stag Supply

The Crafted Stag is a new and novel addition to Springfield's retail scene, and it is already making a name for itself as a destination space. Grant and Jennifer Hammer purchased a building in Parkway Pointe that had been vacant for five years – and cycled through several occupants prior to that – then extensively remodeled it, opening The Crafted Stag Supply earlier this year. The business is already generating a state-wide customer base, attracting visitors stopping off of I-55 on their travels between St. Louis and Chicago and creating a chic, west-side hangout for engaging community events.

The business operates as a multipurpose space, with approximately 6,000 square feet devoted to a retail area featuring men's clothing and gifts. while just under 1,400 square feet is a licensed bar, plus an outdoor patio for enjoying the selection of beverages or cigars. In addition, Uppercuts Barbershop now operates out of space inside the Crafted Stag Supply, with owner Justin Moon offering haircuts and hot shaves.

Merchandise available at The Crafted Stag Supply spans a variety of categories, from athleisure to dress suits and promotes self-care with a wide selection of classically scented men's grooming products. "Parks and Recreation" characters Ron Swanson, Chris Traeger and Tom Haverford would each feel at home here, as this business has something for everyone.

Comparable to a modern, Midwestern version of an 18th century British gentleman's club, its sleek, outdoorsy decor, foosball table and seating lounges give The Crafted Stag Supply an atmosphere that welcomes jovial conversation over a drink and a game. Tailored community events, such as scotch tastings and live bagpiping performance, are a focus of the business and it even hosts private events, such as a recent Illinois Retired Teachers Association reception. The business tag line sums it up: Beer. Barber. Bros. Coffee. Clothes. What else could a guy want?
