CHORAL GROUP

Glenwood Titan Fever

This category includes adult choral societies along with high school singing groups, and the Glenwood Titan Fever came in hot and stayed on top as the best choral group around. The multi-award-winning show choir uses a daily school class period for rehearsals and adds in twice-a-week evening practices to stay sharp and keep the performers moving and grooving.

Led by director Nick Brockamp and choreographer Ben Eklund (with assistance from Matt Watson), in 2025 the group appeared in five major competitions. The choir landed as second and third runner-ups in the incredibly tough contests around the Midwest with another appearance at the prestigious Show Choir Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee, scheduled for 2026.

Since the inception of Titan Fever in 2007, the group has garnered many accolades, including 32 grand champion titles and plenty of regional and national awards. The nearly 50 singing dancers, plus the T-Funk Combo and Crew, not only travel to competitions and host their own nationally acclaimed competition called "The Event" (scheduled for March 7, 2026), but also pay it back by presenting shows at senior homes, veteran gatherings, local schools and area hospitals. They strive to "share the power of music to honor and support our wonderful community," as stated on the Titan Fever website.

There's something about the show choir world that invites intense competition, and we have a good deal of good groups in the area, so it's hats off and high fives to the always-exciting Titan Fever for being the best in the hearts and minds of our readers.
