20th Century Black History Walk

After the 1908 Race Riot, Springfield's Black community persevered, establishing businesses, participating in politics and organizing. Early Black leaders created opportunities for future generations. This walk will feature stories of the men and women who uplifted their families and communities and dedicated their lives to make the city a better place for all.
