114th Illinois Infantry Regiment Reactivated
A Call to Arms: The Mustering in of the 114th Illinois Regiment
“A Call to Arms” will re-enact activities surrounding the recruitment, enlisting and training of men into a new Union infantry regiment. Event will include patriotic speeches and music. The Soldier’s Aid Society will be on hand to explain how those on the home front supported the “Boys in Blue.” The 114th Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment was formed by men from Sangamon, Cass and Menard counties in September 1862.
