Artist Discussion on "Unboxed: A Study in Black and Primary"

The Trutter Museum & Murray Gallery at LLCC will host the exhibit “Unboxed: A Study in Black and Primary” Sept. 28-Oct. 23. The exhibit features works by Illinois native Austin Wells who uses cardboard, primary colors, mixed media and layered imagery — transforming cardboard into a metaphor for rebuilding, remembering and redefining. “Unboxed” explores Black identity, memory, movement and culture. The public is invited to attend an artist discussion with light refreshments in the museum/gallery on Thursday, Oct. 8, 5:30-7:30 p.m. The museum and gallery are located on the upper level of Menard Hall on the LLCC Springfield campus.
