Community Awareness: Alzheimer's and Dementia
Dr. Alonzo DeCarlo and Alzheimer's Association staff will give a presentation on how Alzheimer's and dementia affect Black Americans. Black Americans are twice as likely as Whites to have Alzheimer's or another dementia. They also will discuss roadblocks faced in accessing care, available resources to support those who are impacted, and how the Alzheimer's Association is working to advocate for health equity for all.
