Giant skeletons? Archaeologist reveals all

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, reports of ancient giants circulated through newspapers and other popular media after supposed giant skeletons were unearthed in Eastern North America. Such skeletons were often recovered and reported by those lacking formal osteological training, resulting in egregious overestimates of stature or attribution of non-human species as human.
