This is a past event.
Sounds spark memories, signal warnings and alerts, evoke emotions, and can serve as soundtracks for eras and periods of time. This History Happy Hour will run the gamut of sound from nature with hoots from barred owls, a barking deer, a hound dog’s bay, and from the Anthropocene including music, trains, and soundscapes associated with humans in city and rural life. This talk will have all the bells and whistles, pun intended, as we listen intently to sound across decades.
