History in Film, Moana and Go for Broke!

Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month at this History in Film collaboration. We will talk about Asian American and Pacific Islander history in Illinois and enjoy a film together. We have two sessions, each featuring a different film: Moana, 1pm, a musical adventure film about a young Polynesian girl on a quest to save her island. PG; and "i>Go for Broke, 5pm, a 1951 film about the Japanese American heroes of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team who served in World War II. Not rated.
