The ISM recently accepted a generous donation of an exceptional antique olla-style basket created by an Apache weaver. The basket was made in Arizona or New Mexico around the turn of the 20th century. It is remarkable not only because of its size, but also the diversity of forms woven throughout which illustrate important parts of Apache life. Join Curator of Anthropology Dr. Brooke Morgan as we learn about how this basket was made and used, how it came to the ISM, and how the ISM cares for this type of object as part of its anthropology collection.
