Lincoln Tomb Flag Lowering Ceremony

When: Tuesdays, 7-7:30 p.m. Continues through Aug. 18

Re-enactors of the 114th Illinois Infantry Regiment perform this ceremony to honor President Lincoln and lower the flag that flies over the tomb. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to watch the ceremony and enter the drawing for a chance to receive the flag that flew over the tomb the previous week. Ceremony may include loud noises including gunfire and possibly fire by a small mortar.
