Literacy Jam

Celebrate Abraham Lincoln’s love of reading and lifelong learning with the Lincolns4Lincoln Literacy Jam, benefiting Compass for Kids’ afterschool program. This special kids’ event features celebrity reader story-time, musical entertainment, a magician, local sports mascots and interactive children’s activities. The goal is to spread Lincoln’s love of reading by asking attendees to donate a book from the Compass for Kids students’ wish lists. It’s amazing what can happen when you give a kid a book they choose: they discover their passion for reading! Literacy Jam is an ALPLM community partnership with Compass for Kids and Lincoln Library, Springfield's Public Library.
