In The Message, Ta-Nehisi Coates reflects on his travels to Senegal, South Carolina and Palestine as well as the power of storytelling. Panelists will consider race, literature, media and politics. Audience members will be invited to discuss the book as the panel considers the importance of speaking out, especially when power tries to silence truth-tellers. A limited number of free copies of The Message will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. RSVP to reserve a spot, receive updates and discussion questions, and to request a free copy of the book for pickup. Copies of The Message available to borrow from Lincoln Library.
