Peoples National Bank of Springfield Exhibit
Peoples National Bank of Springfield was the first integrated bank in downstate Illinois. It was created by and for African Americans with the motto, "Where people make the difference." The exhibit includes 1970s photos, architectural plans, oral histories newspaper articles, artifacts and correspondence. Curated by Mary Frances, president of Untold Histories. Exhibit runs through Nov. 1.
