Pumpkin Smash
Got pumpkins? Bring them to the city of Springfield's 4th annual pumpkin smash event.
Participants can choose to chuck, smash or stomp their pumpkins or gourds in one of the designated “smash zones.” Smash remnants will then be placed in a dumpster that will be hauled away after the event to Evans Recycling for composting. Those who don’t want to smash are encouraged to watch and/or may donate their pumpkins or gourds during the event for others to enjoy.
