The life and works of Colonel James Culver, who was one of Springfield's most prolific 19th century builders, will be the topic of this presentation by Lee Ann Burgener. She will discuss how the history of the illustrious Culver family and its local, state and national ties to American History. She will show photos of Culver's Marble and Stone Company and its offshoots, which were among Springfield's most prominent buildings from the early 1870s until 1912.
