“Secrets of the David Davis Mansion” presented by Dr. Marcia Young, former site manager of the David Davis Mansion and recipient of the Illinois State Historical Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

The David Davis mansion was home to several notable individuals, among them Judge David Davis (C.H. Moore’s close friend and business partner) and Davis’s wife, Sarah. The last official “biography” of the house was printed in the 1987 “Historic Structures Report,” but over the last 35 years a great deal of new evidence has come to light, revealing surprising discoveries about the mansion’s past.
