Springfield Civic Garden Club

After the regular business meeting, Guy Sternberg will present a program titled “Starhill Forest – the Making of an Arboretum.” Sternberg, a certified arborist and retired landscape architect, will explain how the most comprehensive oak reference collection in North America began along with the history of the arboretum’s growth and development. After the program, interested individuals are invited to follow Sternberg to the southern edge of Menard County (approximately 15 miles) for a tour of the arboretum.
