The 2025 John Holtz Memorial Lecture

"The History in Every Pour" features Tom Noonan, owner of Sangamo Brewing Company and Museum, founder of Breweriana Exchange and a collector of beer cans and advertising.

The John Holtz Memorial Lecture honors the memory of the former UIS librarian who died in 2004. John enjoyed a wide range of activities, including historical re-enactments featuring miniature war games, world travel, reading, and discovering craft beers, carefully preserving all the bottles and cans.

Tom Noonan spends his free time researching, pursuing and collecting beer cans and associated advertising.
