The Jose Gobbo Trio blends classic Brazilian rhythms such as samba and bossa nova with other jazz elements and contemporary influences. Some selections Dec. 12 will pay tribute to the Brazilian singer of Bossa nova, Elis Regina, who gained popularity in the 1960s and 70s.
