“The Day the Petticoats Swarmed the Capitol”

In this Sangamon County Historical Society program, Cinda Klickna will discuss the day thousands of women from all over the state came to Springfield to lobby for women’s rights. Among them were prominent names such as Jane Addams. The activities that day included a luncheon at Susan Lawrence Dana’s home and an evening reception at Logan Place. Klickna is a former teacher, freelance writer for the Illinois Times, children’s book author, and past president of the Illinois Education Association
