The Light of Truth: Richard Hunt's Monument to Ida B. Wells

In conjunction with the new exhibit, “Freedom of Form: Richard Hunt,” the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is screening this documentary followed by a discussion with the film’s award-winning director, Rana Segal. Wells was a fierce activist for civil rights and women's rights. Hunt was a major figure in American art for decades. This feature documentary weaves together the sculptor’s process and life story, with that of civil rights crusader, suffragist and antilynching activist.
