UIS Sustainability Week Keynote Lecture

Dr. Catherine Zeman’s will explore the link between environmental factors and health disparities across different racial and ethnic communities. She analyzes trends in U.S. lifespan and health care expenditures to highlight how neighborhood characteristics, such as income and education, influence health outcomes and access to care. Zeman advocates for advanced research, informed action, political accountability and community engagement to address these issues and promote environmental and health equity.
