Walking with Our Amazing Fireflies
Enjoy ice cream and crafts followed by a firefly walk on the sanctuary’s trails. Firefly experts Allen Yow and Andy Smith will help identify the various species of firefly by their flash patterns, flash colors and behavior. Learn more about what can be done to protect fireflies while enjoying a magical light show in the sanctuary’s woodland and prairie. Caution: Do not put insect repellant on your hands if you plan to catch fireflies as it can harm or even kill them.
