Water-Energy Sustainability Across Scales: Systems, Society, Self
When: Wed., Nov. 19, 6 p.m. 2025
Dr. Ashlynn Stillwell, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, will explore the critical link between water and energy systems known as the water-energy nexus. Her work examines how energy use impacts water resources and vice versa, across scales - from infrastructure and cities to individual household behaviors. In this talk, she will present data and modeling that translate complex interactions into actionable insights for sustainability. Dr. Stillwell, an award-winning researcher and educator, integrates engineering, public policy and data analysis to advance sustainable solutions and inform decisions that shape the future of water and energy systems.
