Women's History Walk: 1876-1920 and Beyond

Walk the path of suffragists as we discuss the stories of several women who helped make Illinois the first state east of the Mississippi to guarantee presidential suffrage for women, while also advancing other social and civic causes. This one-hour, 1.5 mile walking tour begins at the Lincoln Home Visitor Center and concludes at the Illinois State Capitol. Other stops include the Illinois Governor’s Mansion, Vachel Lindsay Home, and Dana-Thomas House. Please note we will not be touring the interiors of the sites.
